"Pod's locked on it…let it loose when you're ready."
Matt looked down at the MPD as it showed the crosshairs of the AGM-65G Maverick missile centered on the old M60 Patton. He depressed the nose of the strike aircraft moderately, bringing it down from 14,000 feet. For a brief time he would skirt the envelope of guns and short-range missiles, but the angle would help the missile.
"Judge 3-4, Rifle." He declared.
With a press of the release button, the weapon fell from the forward starboard fuselage station and was soon after propelled forward. Matt pulled back up, his WSO Major Abraham LaBlouse, watching the weapon as it closed in on the M60. It hit the vehicle on the front of the turret without a problem.
"Good impact." He reported. The man acting as one of Matt's instructors for his tenure at the Osean Air Force Weapons School made a mental note of Matt's techniques.
